About

Our Story

South Shore’s roots were planted in 1959 by a group of men and women, who had been commuting to Annapolis to attend the First Baptist Church of Eastport. Over time, the church decided there was a need to establish a church in the community of Crownsville. On March 1, 1959, twelve people met in a home to pray, and planted the seed that grew to become South Shore Baptist Church.

Today, South Shore Baptist Church is a growing community of believers committed to treasuring Christ above all things, growing as citizens of his kingdom, and procaliming his gospel to the nations. If you're a follower of Jesus Christ looking for a church home, or are interested in learning more about Jesus, join us at South Shore on Sunday mornings at 10:15am.
